The Kids for Wish Kids program was designed for anyone under the age of 18, who wants to be involved with the Foundation. This includes preschools, elementary, junior high school, high school, community groups, youth groups and individual students.
The High School students have Make-A-Wish High School Clubs that meet during lunch in the advisor’s classroom. There are currently 36 high school clubs in Orange County and 12 in the Inland Empire and San Bernardino County.
The students help the Foundation by collecting donations, gift cards and backpacks for the travel wish children. The students also have fundraisers such as a father daughter dance, car wash, coin contest or school mail grams, where all the proceeds go to benefit the Foundation.
We also have a lot of individuals that are celebrating special events in their lives like a birthday or anniversary that in lieu of gifts for themselves will collect donations or backpacks filled with things for the travel wish children.
The Foundation always welcomes new groups to join the Kids for Wish Kids program. If you would like more information, please contact Megan Guild, Youth Development Coordinator at mguild@wishocie.org or 714-573-9474.
