Greg, Orange, CA “I wish to go to the Super Bowl”Greg enjoys watching professional football and like all football fans, he loves to watch the Super Bowl championship game. The excitement of the crowd and the intensity of the competition makes it the epitome of all football games. Since he is such an avid fan, Greg knew his wish was to go to Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa. When Greg and his family arrived in Florida they were ready for the big game. They were escorted to their seats near the end zone and eagerly awaited for the game to begin. Once the teams took the field, Greg and his family instantly became engrossed with the enthusiasm and passion of the fans and the teams. Greg yelled and cheered along with the crowd for each magnificent play. When the game was over, he returned to the hotel with a hoarse voice and a big smile. Greg’s remission from Hodgkin’s lymphoma has helped him understand the fragility of life. His father explains, “Greg’s wish put a smile onto his face. Make-A-Wish was such an unbelievable experience for the family because the message is so positive that Greg and I have felt the need to give back. It’s important to both of us.” Greg’s father is a now a speaker for Make-A-Wish as well as a wish granter and Greg is a wish ambassador.
