Taylor, Dana Point, CA “I wish to have a professional demo tape made”
Taylor started his career at the tender age of 11 when he earned a role with the Orange County Opera. After his performance, he was hooked and knew he wanted to develop his singing and acting skills. Unfortunately, his career aspirations were delayed when he was diagnosed with leukemia. For two years, he battled the illness that almost took his dreams away. During his treatments, the one thing that gave Taylor the strength to persevere was when he thought about what his wish would be. He had many ideas, but decided that his most ardent desire was to make a professional demo tape.
To ensure Taylor’s voice was in perfect condition, he received several voice lessons from vocal coach Seth Riggs. When it was time for him to record at Steward Sound Studio, he was thrilled that his dream was coming true. Just like a seasoned professional, he sang every note with precision. Unbeknownst to Taylor, his wish still had one more element; he was going to debut one of his songs at Broadway Wishes in front of an audience of over 300 people.
The night of Broadway Wishes, Taylor walked on stage and sang “This Is the Moment” from the musical Jekyll & Hyde. It was apparent as he belted out every note that this was his moment. Later at intermission, Taylor was escorted to the lobby where he signed copies of his new CD. With a smile on his face, and pen in hand, Taylor kept telling the eager crowd, “This is a dream come true.”
