Wish Family Thank You for Emily, "Wish to meet the President" Dear Make-A-Wish Staff, Many thanks for giving my daughter a dream come true. Because of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Emily was able to wish for anything – big or small. Of course, she wished BIG! She wished to meet the most powerful man in the world, President George W. Bush. Visiting the White House and President Bush was truly an unforgettable moment in all of our lives. He spent around 25 minutes with us in the Oval Office. He asked Emily how she was feeling, etc. and extended his appreciation for her courage and inspiration to others. I had tears as I was touched that the most powerful man on this earth not only granted my daughter her wish, but he also spent time out of his busy schedule to meet with us.
