Shelby: I wish to have a puppyShelby was four years old when her wish for a puppy was granted. She still remembers the joy she felt when she received it. The family enjoyed her wish day without worrying about doctor’s appointments or treatments. In her early teens, Shelby decided to give back to the Foundation. She planned a fundraiser and raised enough money to sponsor several wishes. As a junior in high school, she became president of her school’s Make-A-Wish Club. Under her leadership, the club raised enough money to sponsor multiple wishes. Shelby’s wish experience helped fuel her passion for helping others. She knows what a wish fulfilled can do for a child. As she prepares for college, she wants to continue to share the power of a wish® and give the hope, strength and joy she received to other children. |
